Submitting a full paper
Those wishing to present at DTA APAC 2026 are required to submit a paper, poster or a voice session for consideration by the Conference’s Technical Programme Committee.
If you wish to submit an abstract first for the committee to gain a basic understanding of your work, please send them to DTA@theiet.org, with email headline ‘DTA APAC Abstracts’. Your prepared abstract using normal style text of no more than 500 words including diagrams.
Successful authors will have their paper(s) submitted for indexing on IET Inspec, IEEE Xplore and Ei Compendex, increasing citations and influence that extends beyond the conference. We aim for a 16-week turnaround time from conference end date to publication, providing all Authors submit the requested documentation by the deadlines provided.
Submitting your voice or poster
Those wishing to present at DTA APAC 2026 but not writing up a full paper are to submit a session proposal or a poster for consideration by the Conference’s Organising and Technical Programme Committees.
These sessions will be incorporated into the main conference programme and offer insight into new and innovative technologies and projects aligned to and/or impacting the themes of DTA.
Please remember that this is a Digital Twin Focused Conference.
Please do not submit any sales pitches as they will be rejected. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please email DThomasson@theiet.org
The working language of the conference is English.
DTA APAC 2026 will be in a physical format; all authors will be expected to attend the conference to present. There will be no virtual presentation options.

Submit a presentation
Written papers are not required for a session proposal, and accordingly, materials presented will not be included in the conference proceedings. Sessions will be between 25 and 60 minutes long, subject to the conference programme schedule and proposed content.
If accepted, your proposed speaker/s will be asked to submit a more detailed proposal or the draft presentation slides.
You're welcome to submit proposals in the formats listed below, but these are not exhaustive. More innovative and different formats are also welcome.
- Case study of a successful project or dissemination of a recent project
- Full Q&A panel discussion
- Fire Side Chat – an observed conversation between a subject matter expert and interviewer
- Informal ‘TED Style’ talks with or without slides
Oxford Style Debate to include subjects debated with strong opposing views - Workshop sessions exploring possible solutions to a presented challenge
- Other creative styles.
Proposals which include at least one of the following will be viewed favourably:
- Industrial application oriented
- Collaborative cross-disciplinary topics or teams
Significant industry or government participation or involvement in the content development - Creative formats outlined above that engage the audience. They are likely to be of interest to an industry audience
Proposals should avoid:
- Established and well documented topics
- Straight forward academic style lectures
- The promotion of a particular product or service – sales pitches will be rejected
- Incomplete plans for session development. Speakers proposed should be well informed and where possible already confirmed to participate.
Recommended sections for proposals:
- Session title
- Proposed session format describe the format being sure to outline ways in which the session will be interactive. Please also include any elements which may require additional AV, software, technical demonstration, etc.
- Proposed timing an indication of the time you anticipate requiring delivering the session including a rough breakdown of timings in terms of duration for each speaker (if there are more than 1) and/or element of the session.
- Session organisers typically the individual(s) submitting the proposal but if different please make this clear.
- Session speaker(s) Please include an indication of the speaker’s availability, i.e. confirmed or tentative.
- Session Outline please include a proposed topics/titles/activities, and detailed description.
- Organiser biography no more than 80 words for each person. External website link can be included, i.e. university or LinkedIn profile.
- Speaker biography no more than 80 words for each person. External website link can be included, i.e. university or LinkedIn profile.
Submit a poster
